Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR)
Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a greenfield industrial city planned and located approximately 100 km South West of Ahmedabad . Dholera spans an area of approximately 920 sq km and comprises a developable area of 422 sq km (land now ready for allotment) . It is strategically located between the industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
Dholera's immediate city development area is approximately 5,600 acres.It is envisaged to be a world-class destination with excellent infrastructure. The city will provide opportunities for the setting up of manufacturing units, while also aiming to provide an environment to work, live, learn and play. Dholera SIR will be a role model for future cities in India.
Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is conceived as a Model Industrial Corridor of international standards with emphasis on expanding the manufacturing and services base and develop DMIC as the 'Global Manufacturing and Trading Hub'

The Dholera Solar Park, India's largest at 5,000 MW, will be built on 11,000 hectares and involve a ₹25,000 crore investment. Despite challenges, it promises significant job creation, reduced transmission costs, and environmental benefits, enhancing living conditions while advancing renewable energy goals in Gujarat.
The high-speed metro rail project will connect Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Dholera, enhancing regional transport and linking key urban centers, including Dholera's international airport. Spanning 100 kilometers, it will be completed in two phases: 61.55 kilometers in Phase 1 and 38.45 kilometers in Phase 2.
The Dholera SIR Project will transform Gujarat into a major global trading hub by 2024, with a six-lane highway and extensive urban development. Accommodating 2 million people and generating 800,000 jobs, it will serve as a model for India's smart cities, driving regional growth and innovation.
The Kalpasar Project aims to build a 30 km dam across the Gulf of Khambat in India, creating a massive freshwater reservoir for Gujarat's needs. With a projected cost of INR 90,000 crore, it will also include a 10-lane road. Feasibility studies are ongoing, with a projected completion by 2035-38.
